CROSS-HERITAGE unlocks the tourism potential of Capo Peloro (Messina) and Comino’s inland areas (Malta) – under-experienced Natura 2000 sites located next to mass-tourism hotspots – by activating two interconnected, learning-oriented, inclusive and regenerative tourism destinations rooted in a shared ecological, cultural and gastronomic heritage. In doing so, the project also contributes to diversifying tourism flows and to testing a model for the sustainable valorisation of sensitive sites.
